Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam
The area of Ghaziabad is arranged amidst Ganga-Yamuna doab. It is generally rectangular, its length is 75 kms and its expansiveness is 37 kms. On the North, its limited by the area of Meerut, on the South, its limited by Bulandshahar and Gautambudh Nagar and on the South-west by the National Capital Delhi State and on the East by the unmistakable Jyotibaphule Nagar. Waterway Hindan courses through the city isolating it into east of Hindan (Cis Hindan Area i.e. CHA) and west of Hindan (Trans Hindan Area i.e. THA). CHA constitutes 2/third in territory. The populace while THA constitutes 1/third region and populace.
The status of Ghaziabad was updated from Municipal Board to Municipal Corporation, known as Ghaziabad Nagar Nigam (GNN) on 31 August 1994 after 74th constitution Amendment Act 1992 and congruity enactment by state government. GNN zone has been isolated into five managerial zones in particular City zone, Kavi Nagar zone, Vijay Nagar zone, Mohan Nagar zone and Vasundhara zone.
